After decades of offering Kundalini Yoga Teacher Trainings to the Portland Community, NWKYTT has decided to no longer offer these trainings. In recent years, very credible / undeniable allegations of abuse and sexual abuse by Yogi Bhajan have surfaced. The last 3 years have been a time of personal and group process. Our hope and efforts were for healing, restorative justice and a vision for how we and 3HO might move forward and grow in the face of organizational history. At this point the majority of the current (2024) leadership of 3HO is, in our opinion, hostile to meeting the challenge of facing these allegations and the victims of the abuse. A way may emerge in the future of how to do a training with integrity, but from the point of view of both our personal process as well as the current 3HO-international group dynamic and values, we’ve decided that for us that time is not now and we are going to step away from Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training. We are grateful for the years that we’ve been able to share in the growth and joy of the students we’ve been fortunate enough to teach and serve. We look forward to finding other ways to serve in the future.
